1380 meters north of the famous North Cape cliff and 0 meters above sea level lies Knivskjelodden. This is the real northernmost point of mainland Europe. 

There are two ways of getting there: By boat/RIB on a calm day, or by foot.  You can take advantage of any of our packages.

The Most Refreshingly Cool Hiking Weekend In Europe

In cooperation with Hammerfest Tourist a unique hiking package is available for the first time in the Summer of 2010.

In 2010 you must do the package on your own.

It includes hiking on Sørøya and to Knivskjelodden (pdf). The package is possible to do between June 18th and August 1st 2010.

It includes, amongst others, boat transfer to Sørøya from Hammerfest.

 
Hiking To The Northernmost Forest In The World - NOK 400

Starting in Gjesvær you can do a short hike to the northernmost forest in the world.  This is a very short hike and you will be back in two and a half hours.
